The Buzz about Hot Route

November 1st, 2009

lslogoHot Route is one of the latest films that Casey Gooden has written, directed and produced. It is a short film that is showing at two festivals in the next couple of weeks. Dallas Video Fest and of course the Lone Star International Film Festival. The Dallas Video Fest is November 5-8. Hot Route is about a group of guys getting together for a pick up game of flag football and one guy takes his passion for the game too far and threatens to ruin the game for everyone. Watch trailer here.

The screening this week at Video Fest is at the Angelika in Mockingbird Station. The tickets go on sale the day of …  so if you are planning on going to this one … try and get them early … it will sell out. The screening is at 7 pm at the Angelika.

You can get your tickets for the Lone Star Film Festival online here. The screening is at Sundance Square in Downtown Ft. Worth. That screening is at 6 pm. The last screening for one of Casey’s films at Lone Star Film festival was sold out as well. Hot Route is in the Shorts Block 3 group. Here is the promo on the Lone Star Page … it has some cool stills … go here.  Plus it’s cool because usually at Lone Star you can catch a glimpse of some Hollywood types. I was seen last festival running down the street getting a great shot of Limp Biskit’s, Fred Durst and nearly getting run over by Bill Paxton and company. I’ll try and dig those up and post them for you. Indy films are cool. For those of you who don’t know … back in 2004 Casey acted in “Primer”, the film that won it all at the Sundance Film Festival. I can’t wait to go back to Sundance. Soon.

For other films that Casey has been involved in check out his page on IMDb here.

See you at the movies.
